New construction/installation of a book depot for the University of Vienna and 4 partner institutions due to the shortage of inner-city book storage space. The location for the new book depot is on the Siemens grounds in Vienna.
The aim is to strictly separate the storage of library stocks from the library’s use and administration area, i.e. to provide the famous “green meadow” on the outskirts of the city as a location, flanked by an operating concept that enables rapid and ecologically sensible delivery of requested titles to the use area and back or electronically (e-on-demand).
