Exactly 11 months after the ground-breaking ceremony for the new building for psychiatry and psychotherapy took place on Tuesday, March 03, 2020 at the Klagenfurt Clinic, the “Gleichenfeier”.
During the approximately 55,000 working hours, about 30,000 crane lifts were performed and about 1,000 tons of steel and 10,000 m3 of concrete were used.
After moving the old psychiatric clinic and demolition of the existing buildings, the remaining area will be landscaped.
The project is scheduled for completion in 2022. The new psychiatric ward will then offer observation, acute and regional wards as well as therapy apartments and a day clinic. There will also be a geriatric psychiatric ward.
