As a result of the abandonment of the previous location, a new building was constructed:
- ÖBB Bahn Bistro including a production kitchen and associated necessary infrastructure (delivery, storage rooms, etc.).
- Overnight accommodation for internal use (passenger transport, production, etc.) with 15 single rooms and 8 double rooms.
The new building is located in the immediate vicinity of the round locomotive shed in a location historically characterized by railroad use and close to the revitalized station building, which has been adapted and expanded to meet the new requirements. The design of the new Bahn Bistro Salzburg building takes this into account.
