Lorenz Consult was involved in the expansion of the northern part of the production building at the Graz site of Fresenius-Kabi Austria GmbH. The existing office space on the 2nd floor was demolished and transformed into laboratories with evaluation offices. In order to ensure stability, some of the existing columns had to be reinforced and provided with an EI90 enclosure. Subsequently, a steel structure with solid slabs was constructed, forming the 3rd floor as a laboratory level and the 2nd floor as a technical level. This renovation allowed for an expanded use of the building and created space for modernized laboratory and technical areas.
