In the course of the new construction of the ÖBB apprentice home in St. Pölten, a total of 12 double rooms on three floors will be realized.
For the apprentice home of the TS plant in St. Pölten, which has reached the end of its service life, a corresponding replacement will be built.
The project includes all structural facilities required for the construction of the new building. It also includes the supply and discharge lines from the new building to the respective transfer point, the demolition of the existing apprentice home and the design of the outdoor facilities.
The new building includes, in addition to various ancillary rooms or rooms of the TGA, 36 overnight rooms for approx. 69 people, corresponding recreational rooms for the apprentices, a multi-purpose room that is used for training purposes of the ÖBB or as a recreational room, as well as rooms (overnight accommodation and administration room) for the educator working on site.
The necessary supply and disposal lines are available due to the nearby existing buildings. The existing district heating pipeline in the construction area of the new apprentice home must be relocated within the construction site; the supply is provided by the TS plant.
Currently, it runs within the perimeter of the new building. Furthermore, when the construction work is completed, the music hall (existing building) and thus also the porter’s lodge, which monitors access from the north to the entire TS plant site, will also be supplied with district heating via the newly constructed apprentice home.
The energy supply ET takes place from a transformer station newly established on the part of ÖBB. The low-voltage main distribution room will be built in the basement. The lines to the
NSHV Lehrwerkstätte to the NSHV Lehrlingsheim will be constructed as underground cables with sealing bushings at the building entrance and exit.
Lorenz Consult is responsible for the local construction supervision.
