Lorenz Consult opens new office in Munich, further strengthening its presence in Germany

Graz / Munich, May 15, 2025 – Austrian engineering firm Lorenz Consult is expanding its presence in Germany with the opening of a new office in Munich. The company, which has established itself as one of the leading general planners for technically complex construction projects, is taking another significant step in its expansion strategy. As of early May, the new branch office on Ridlerstraße in Munich has officially started operations. The site will be headed by Martin Priehse.

Strategic growth in a dynamic market

“With new offices, we want to move even closer to our clients,” says Managing Director Christian Lorenz. “We’ve already managed projects in Germany. With our Munich office, we can now offer our services more efficiently and directly.” After Vienna (2006), Linz (2022), and Villach (2023), Munich is the next step in the company’s growth.

Several strategic factors led to the decision. The Bavarian market is similar to Austria’s. Munich is geographically close to Graz, which improves collaboration. Stable economic conditions also support long-term growth.

Martin Priehse – connecting Austria and Germany

Lorenz Consult chose Martin Priehse (51) to lead the new location. Born in Graz, he studied architecture at Graz University of Technology and now lives near Munich. Most recently, he managed the Munich office of an Austrian architecture firm and had already worked closely with Lorenz Consult. His experience as a general planning coordinator and team leader on German projects makes him well suited for this role.

“We’re very happy to have Martin Priehse on board,” says Christian Lorenz. “He brings strong qualifications and is a perfect link between Graz and Munich.”

Services offered at the Munich office

The new branch offers Lorenz Consult’s full service range: general planning, architectural design, structural engineering, MEP planning, and site supervision. In the next 12 to 24 months, the goal is to build a team of 5 to 7 people and launch at least two general planning projects. Three employees are already working in architectural planning.

Looking ahead: Munich to match Vienna

Lorenz Consult has ambitious plans. The Munich office is expected to grow to 20 to 30 employees—similar in size to the Vienna branch. “We are growing steadily,” says Lorenz. “Our expanding team and new locations reflect our success and the trust our clients place in us.”
