With the commissioning of the CC7 continuous casting plant in September 2011, slabs with a thickness of 355 mm and widths of up to 2,200 mm can be cast. This enables us to offer heavy plates with piece weights of up to 20 tons.

At that time, the new CC7 was the most advanced continuous casting plant worldwide. The optimized secondary cooling system ensures excellent surface properties even on very wide slabs. Industrial robots were used on the casting platform for the first time, resulting in improved process quality and occupational safety.
