Lorenz Consult served as the general planner for the conversion of a floor into an energy control center on behalf of Wien Energie. The energy control center was established within an existing office building and operated 24/7. Special attention was given to acoustic design, lighting, and room climate. To ensure functionality in times of crisis, the waiting area was equipped with positive pressure. Additionally, the cooling and power supply were redundant and supported by an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system. In addition to the main control room, a crisis room was set up, equipped with intercom, camera functionality, and access control for enhanced security measures.
