Lorenz Consult is involved in on-site construction supervision for the renovation of the ÖBB Central Training Workshop, which will become the largest training workshop in Austria. The site covers an area of 10,000 m². Within the existing building complex at Hebbelplatz 7 (formerly a printing press), a central training workshop is being established, consisting of workshops, offices, and a kitchen with a dining hall for 650 apprentices. The facility consists of two building sections separated by a delivery zone with a barrel-shaped glass/steel roof.

The existing building complex has been renovated and modified to meet the required regulations. Building section 1 accommodates administrative offices, training/laboratory rooms, and a kitchen with a dining hall. Building section 2 comprises workshop halls, changing rooms, and sanitary facilities. A spacious courtyard has been created to provide natural lighting for the workshops, and the former high-bay warehouse has been redesigned.
