Conversion of Existing Buildings: Lorenz Consult Implements Projects in the Hospital and Cleanroom Sectors

Vienna / Graz, April 10, 2025. In light of sustainability and climate protection, the conversion of existing buildings plays a key role. Lorenz Consult has specialized in this field, focusing on hospital and cleanroom environments. The challenges involved and current projects were presented in a lecture at the Lounges – Cleanroom Processes conference held in Karlsruhe at the end of March.

ÖBB Goods Supply Brigittenau Completed

Vienna / Graz, March 10, 2025 – A new goods supply center for ÖBB Infrastructure has been built in Vienna’s Brigittenau district. Lorenz Consult was responsible for local construction supervision, including overall coordination. The handover and commissioning for users took place in mid-February 2025. The outdoor facilities of the new logistics hub will be completed by mid-March 2025.

Successful Employee Development at the Vienna Branch

Vienna / Graz, March 5, 2025. The civil engineering firm Lorenz Consult has recently moved into its new office space in Vienna’s Simmering district. The branch of the Graz-based company covers an area of approximately 235 square meters and provides a modern workplace for eleven employees. Additional staff are being sought.

New Extension for the Laundry Carousel at the LKH-University Hospital Graz Completed

After just nine months of construction, the new extension for the upcoming RFID-controlled “Laundry Carousel” at LKH-University Hospital Graz has been completed. The facility was officially commissioned on October 29, 2024.

The architectural design was carried out by EDERER, HAGHIRIAN ARCHITEKTEN ZT-GmbH, while Lorenz Consult was responsible for the structural planning and on-site construction supervision.

Completely Animal-Friendly and Sustainable: Lorenz Consult Builds Energy-Self-Sufficient Equestrian Stable

In the Styrian village of Radochen, an energy-self-sufficient equestrian facility has been established. Lorenz Consult was responsible for general planning, structural engineering, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) planning, as well as local construction supervision. The facility was built in 2022, and recently, a solarium and a salt chamber were added.

Book Depot to Soon Offer Space for Over 2 Million Books: General Planner Lorenz Consult and Pittino & Ortner at Roof Completion

The University of Vienna, together with four other universities in Vienna, is set to receive a new book depot, which will be realized as a climate-friendly and energy-saving hybrid timber construction. The roof completion ceremony took place on June 5, 2024. Lorenz Consult, responsible for the general planning, structural engineering, and building services of the project, celebrated the successful roof completion with its partners.

Efficient Digitalization Enables Record-Time Crane Track Beam Replacement at voestalpine in Linz

The existing crane track beam in a 500-meter-long hall, built around 1950, had to be replaced due to material fatigue. This facility is part of the Steel Division of voestalpine AG. The initially estimated 34 days for installing the new, approximately 400-meter-long crane track beam in a cold rolling mill during ongoing operations were completed in a record time of just 28 days, thanks to detailed planning.

39th Logistic Dialogue 2024

From May 16–17, 2024, we participated in the BVL event at Vienna Airport. Many hands were shaken, and numerous interesting conversations were held. Last week, we took a trip to the Hochwurzen Reiteralm ski resort. We were busy skiing and tobogganing. After a joint dinner to wrap up the day, we traveled back to Graz together.
